B-ABLE acquired Domesteq a social enterprise in 2012 that was set up by Shawn Runacres, a US citizen resident in India. It was created to provide training and jobs to workers in informal and unorganised sector of domestic work. We have 13 training curriculum designed specifically for the illiterate or semi-literate worker in both domestic and corporate job roles. Our mission has always been to provide workers that are skilled, verifiable and documented in a way that earn self-respect in the society and adopt fair working practices at work. B-ABLE Domesteq is engaged in creating a Sector Skills Council for Domestic Workers under NSDC and the first pilot for the RPL (Recognition of Prior learning) under NSDA.
