BASIX Academy for Building Lifelong Employability Ltd (B-ABLE) is part of BASIX Social Enterprise group established in 1996 for promoting sustainable livelihoods. B-ABLE, established in 2009, is the first training partner of National Skills Development Corporation (NSDC) which is an entity created by Ministry of Finance through public-private partnership (PPP) model for promoting skill building across the nation, and is today one of the key training partner for providing skill and entrepreneurial training in India.
B-ABLE provides vocational skill development training in informal sector to underprivileged youth of India. It aims to build an inclusive India by providing locally and globally relevant skills and attitudes to learners for their lifelong employability.
B-ABLE through innovative thinking and technical knowledge enables communities to build on their skills whether inbuilt or generated. B-ABLE seeks to create an innovative, sustainable model for building a high quality skilled workforce – both in the un-organized and the organized sectors.

During 11 years of extensive work, B-ABLE has implemented training programs across 28 states of India in various sectors including construction, apparel, textile, retail, hospitality, agriculture, health, automobile, ITES, etc. B-ABLE is currently active in 28 states with over 100+ centres and more than 1000 schools nationwide.

Cost of training paid for primarily by government/CSR. Training is provided across courses (formal sector, informal sector, agri and non-farm based) with placement-linkage.
Under the initiative ‘Revising of Centrally Sponsored Scheme of Vocationalisation’ of Secondary Education by the government of India which is operated within the National Vocational Education Qualifications Framework (NVEQF), employability education is integrated into school education. This is a Central Government sponsored scheme which aims to equip the students with industry relevant skills to make them employable after completion of their secondary school education.
B-ABLE imparts customized, aspiration-based and market relevant training funded by Corporates, CSR and end users. It has partnered with several renowned market-led corporates to train the underprivileged youth and provide them better livelihood opportunities.
