The primary goal of this programme is “Vocationalisation” of Secondary Education by incorporating employability as well as entrepreneurial training into School Education. The vision of the scheme corresponds with B-ABLE’s goal to make the students sufficiently productive so that they can have relevant skills (as per the demand of the current market) which can make them employable after completion of their secondary education. The programme is implemented by a Vocational Training Partner (VTP). B-ABLE is one of the oldest and a major VTP.

The vocational skills program is aligned with the regular classes in the schools. The plan is to cover the students at four-levels; Classes 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th standard. The students are provided with 400 hours of combined practical and classroom training. A compulsory assessment at the end of each year is required to be conducted of all the candidates. The assessment is conducted by the schools and certificates are provided by the Sector Skill Council of the respective trades.  Sector Skill Councils are set up as autonomous bodies responsible for setting up of Occupational Standards, ensure quality execution, certify trainees
