The National Urban Livelihoods Mission (NULM) was begun by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation (MHUPA), Government of India in 24th September 2013 with the objective to decrease poverty and weakness of the urban poor households. This is to be pic2done by empowering them to access profitable self-employment and skilled wage employment opportunities, resulting in considerable development in their livelihoods on a supportable basis, through building strong grassroots level institutions of the poor. It is an initiative for urban BPL families.
